Introduction

On these forums, I go by the name Karusune Kiyoraka. It's a name that was originally created during some RPing that I was doing and it has stuck ever since then. It's a unique name and it's something that I feel really stands out from most other names, even if people attempting to spell it usually butcher it by calling me "Karasune". It's pronounced "Kuh-Rue-Sue-Nay". I am a forum moderator/administrator that has been here ever since the very first days of the community when it was originally known as SimulationStyle. I've seen this place go through a large number of changes and haven't always been here, but I would like to think of this place as being one of my few homes on the internet.

More About Me

I have been around on DoujinStyle since before the website was even known as "DoujinStyle". I was even around since before the website was known as "SimulationStyle" back when the website was nothing but a simple chatbox available on a website where individuals could download the sweetsims simfile packs. It was an interesting time back then and the website has grown to such a large size, even if it has turned out completely different than we originally intended it to be. The simfile community has pretty much involved into the Doujin and Touhou community here, and even though I have no interest in said communities, I have interest in this community and the people here. I have been a moderator for a long time ago and have seen the website go through a large number of changes, whether it was being attacked by spam bots or being invaded by another community that has become bitter towards us out of jealousy. I have seen it go down due to an overload since everyone wants to visit or website for downloads and have seen it up steady. I have seen the good days and have seen the bad days and even some of the worst days. I have even had a stalker that has come through this website.

Most importantly, it's not so much about me being here for all of that. It's more about the website and how it's changed and how this community has helped shaped the person that I have become. Even though I feel I have contributed quite a bit to it, I know that it has contributed a lot more to me and what I have become as a person. I don't think anyone could really ask for such great times and expect their wishes to be granted. Even though I think the community could use some more work and some changes to be pushed in the right direction, I have a lot of faith in the community here, the moderation team, the administration team, the users, and ultimately the owner of the website.

What made you come here in the first place?

I originally came to SweetSims to download simfiles that I might find interesting. While there was some controversy over the packs themselves, I was interested in finding new simfiles created by some of the best authors.

How long have you been a moderator?

That question is really hard to answer since I don't remember the actual date that I was appointed to be a moderator. It's been years though.

How long do you intend on remaining in DoujinStyle.com?

I don't have any intentions of leaving unless I absolutely must.

What's your favorite area of the forums?

I love the computers/internet section because of the focus on modern technology and assisting other users with their problems. It's good to see that other users of our forums are willing to help solve issues that are posted there.

What is your most memorable moment?

We had some issues with some trolls in the past, but my most memorable was MichaelMaverick who was not only intelligent enough to keep up a debate, but he was clever enough to insult many people without it looking like he was being overly pretentious. Nevertheless, we removed him from the website after having a number of incidents with him and banned him permanently for failing to get along with the users. It was rather obvious his entire reasoning for being here was to cause problems, and judging by the use of the "Dr. House" character from the television show "House", I would say he was here to make rather sarcastic comments which he did so perfectly. It was a shame to see him go, but the rules should be enforced even if it was on a worthy adversary.

What is your least favorable moment?

Well, we have had a lot of trolls who were just stupid. I guess you could say people like that "holy" guy fit the bill. I heard that guy runs some website that consists only of an online forum. What a loser.

Are you currently single, married, or seeing someone?

I'm currently single at the moment, having been through a couple of relationships through the last few years. None of them seemed to work out, so I will remain single probably for a while to come. There's a cute girl that I kinda like, but I am not sure if it would work between us.

If you could change DoujinStyle.com in one way, how would you change it?

I would probably change the overall look and feel, which is what we are trying to do. If you would like to help us, click here!

Where else are you active?

You can find me constantly in our online chat. There is a link to a Java IRC client that allows users across multiple platforms to be able to access the chatroom, provided that they have an internet connection and java capabilities. Otherwise, not anywhere in particular.

What's your favorite Touhou character?

I don't particularly have a favorite character. I know there are a lot of people that have a favorite and want to see if someone else likes that character, but I honestly don't have a favorite.

What's your favorite video game series?

This is probably the hardest question, but I am going to answer it rather simply. Earthbound.
